In less than 18 months from today, residents of Makueni and lower Mbooni Subcounties will nolonger worry about crossing River Thwake during the rainy season, for their every day transactions.

Governor Kivutha Kibwana has today launched construction works for a KES 334Million Bridge, which will permanently end scary tales of people, animals and vehicles drowning while attempting to cross the River from either Wote, or Kalawa.

The 110-Meter long bridge will also connect an earmarked class B road from Wote to Kitui, thus opening the County to a greater economic growth.
