Governor Kibwana Issuing Title Deeds

Governor Kibwana launched a countywide issuance of 40,000 title deeds recently.
An empowered society is truly emancipated from poverty, and propelled towards freedom and prosperity. The Title deed issuance caravan led by Governor Prof. Kivutha Kibwana toured Makindu and Nguumo wards, where residents of Makindu, Kai, Kisingo, Syumile, Sekeleni and Mbui Nzau were issued with title deeds. 40,000 titles will be distributed in the exercise.


Governor's Cup Finals

Youth from across the county displayed a sporting prowess never witnessed before in the two-day Governors Cup Finals at Wote.
The Governor’s Cup Championship is an annual county event whose main objective is to identify, nurture and develop sporting talents among the youth in the county.
The specific objectives of the championships are:-
  • To create an opportunity for the Youth to showcase their talent
  • To provide a platform for scouting of talents
  • To provide a platform for linking talented youth to professional clubs and other institutions
  • To provide a platform for awareness creation on issues relevant to youth – HIV/AIDs, drug and substance abuse
  • To create an opportunity for the youth to participate in the KENYA YOUTH INTER COUNTY GAMES, “KYISA”.
The championship targets youths aged between 15-34 years in both soccer and volleyball for men and women.

Ground-breaking: Emali Bus Park & Grocer Shops

Governor Kivutha Kibwana flags off construction of Emali modern bus park and green grocer market. The project is one of the County Government's flagship projects and is expected to turn around the economy of the town and the County as a whole.
