H.E Governor Kivutha Kibwana commissioned a new facelift to Yikisemei Primary school awarding it an initial 5m Shillings. The Project will see a construction of the entire class rooms from std 1-8, staffroom and social hall among other facilities.
Makueni Deputy Governor, Hon. Adelina Mwau congratulated the locals for their overwhelming shows of support to the project. She urged those who will be mandated with handling the project to observe utmost accountability and transparency.
Speaking at Uvileni Polytechnic, Governor Kibwana and the Deputy Emphasized on the vitality of tertiary education which will help create jobs amongst the youth who have languished in drug abuse for lack of opportunities. Governor Kibwana thanked the area MP. Hon Patrick Musimba and MCA Hon. John Mwenze for their progressive focus on development agenda to the people.
They later laid a foundation brick which saw immediate commencement of the project in the precincts of Mikumboni part of Nguumo Ward in Kibwezi west. He was accompanied by ECM County Education & Civic Education Mr. Kawive Wambua and ECM Trade, Industry, Tourism, Cooperative & Investment Mr. Alidan Mbinda
