SCHOLARSHIPS

2018 FORM ONE SCHOLARSHIPS
The Government of Makueni County invites applications for the following scholarships for the year 2018.
a) The Government of Makueni County in collaboration with The Co-operative Bank is offering five (5) Form One Scholarships
Eligibility and Award Criteria
  1. Have sat KCPE in 2017 and scored 350 marks and above
  2. Be from a needy/poor family that is unable to support secondary education
  3. Be from a public primary school in the county
  4. Out of the 5 slots, 2 will awarded to girls
  5. The sponsorship covers school fees, books and uniform.
Application Procedure
  1. Applications should be addressed to the ECM, Department of Education and ICT, Government of Makueni County.
  2. The following documents should be attached: -
    1. Certified copy of K.C.P.E Result Slip
    2. Letter from Primary School Head Teacher
    3. Admission Letter to Form One
    4. Letter from either Chief or Religious leader to confirm that the pupil is needy
    5. If an orphan, attach death certificate(s) or burial permit(s)
    6. If a person with disability, attach evidence through relevant documents.
b) The Government of Makueni County is offering forty (40) Form One Scholarships
Eligibility and Award Criteria
  1. Have sat KCPE in 2017 and scored 380 marks and above
  2. Be from a needy/poor family that is unable to support secondary education
  3. Be from a public primary school in the county
  4. At least one scholarship will be awarded per ward
  5. The sponsorship covers school fees, books and uniform.
Application Procedure
  1. Applications should be addressed to the ECM, Department of Education and ICT, Government of Makueni County.
  2. The following documents should be attached: -
  1. Certified copy of K.C.P.E Result Slip
  2. Letter from Primary School Head Teacher
  3. Admission Letter to Form One.
  4. Letter from either Chief or Religious leader to confirm that the child is needy
  5. If an orphan, attach death certificate(s) or burial permit(s)
  6. If a person with disability, attach evidence through relevant documents.
NB: The deadline for all applications is 15th December, 2017.
